The Carinthian is a club man

A life without social togetherness in associations would be unimaginable for us!

Clubs are the "be-all and end-all" in Seeboden. Our wonderful community has more than 80 different associations. So it is understandable that we almost always celebrate parties in Seeboden. Alone through the fire brigades and village communities is in summer almost every weekend in one of our villages "Kirchtag".

Did you know that Seeboden has a total of 7 choirs and even two traditional marching bands? This is due to the fact that in the early 70s we merged the communities of Lieserhofen and Seeboden and our more than 20 small villages also cultivate a wide variety of customs. At Easter on Kolm and in Wirlsdorf the ball rollers are of great importance, while on Easter Monday in the village of St. Wolfgang the traditional pork knuckles are auctioned.

Just come and celebrate with us!

In the footsteps of our ancestors

Unlikely, what stories one has to tell oneself around the lake! I experienced one or the other peculiarity in the old Cafe Ainetter!
Klaus Fertin, Upper Bavaria

Under the motto "Memories of Seeboden", pictures from the past century are lovingly presented directly on the main street with free admission. In 2020 the focus was on the tourist development of the lake.

When: July to September

Where: Main street - former Cafe Ainetter

Tip:Many stories are taken from the book "Der Millstätter See" by Irmi Soravia, published by Branstätter Verlag.

Diving into the world of the 1950s to 1970s

During our research over Seeboden we came across a lovingly designed film. It tells the story of a young couple's holiday in our region. From today's point of view, this was certainly an enormous effort that was made for this film at that time. The language and the topics that moved our guests during these years are also quite amusing.

Just smile with us.
