The Fishing Museum

The 1st Carinthian Fishing Museum was reopened in summer 2011. A multitude of special features of fishing, but also insights into the underwater world of the Millstätter See are presented in the museum.

Afterwards visit the idyllic rose garden of the "Baumschule Winkler" and enjoy a fresh crêpes in the "new beach bar" of the ROYAL X hotel.

 

 

Dive into the Middle Ages

 

Europe's largest torture museum

Witness horrible torture in the gloomy dungeons of Sommeregg Castle. It is Central Europe's largest museum with more than 100 authentic exhibits (special exhibition by Amnesty International).

Europe's largest bonsai museum

Zen gardens by master craftsmen with over three thousand bonsai plants based on classical Japanese models. Of these, 120 different varieties are presented in a garden area of over 14,000 square metres. See exhibits that are over 100 years old.
