Our Tuesday tour

On the Alpe-Adria Trail

The Alpe-Adria-Trail connects the three countries Carinthia, Slovenia and Friuli Venezia Giulia on a total of 43 stages. Our day begins today in the picturesque Klingerpark and leads us to the Seebodner local mountain, the "Tschiernock". From Tschiernock you have a wonderful view of the Tauern and Nock regions.

Starting point: Sommeregger hut (1.698 m)
Summit: Tschiernock (2,088 m), Hochpalfennock (2,099 m), possibly Tschierweger Nock (2,010 m)
End point: Hansbauer or Sommeregger hut
Hiking time: 5 to 6 hours
Difficulty: Comfortable hike
Description: The hike starts at the Sommeregger hut. The hike leads over the "Stone Table" to the Tschiernock, the Hochpalfennock and possibly also to the Tschierweger Nock. The panoramic view is simply fabulous. As a way back we choose a possibility to get back to the Sommeregger hut or to the Hansbauer hut.
Special features: The Alpe-Adria-Trail connects the three countries Carinthia, Slovenia and Italy on a total of 43 stages. The long-distance hiking trail leads from the foot of Austria's highest mountain, the Großglockner (3,798 m), to Muggia on the Adriatic Sea.
